We've finally made it to Super Bowl 59. The Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl 57. Let's go.
The Chiefs set out to do what no team has ever done before: go back-to-back-to-back. They went 15-2, the best record in the AFC. Then they defeated the Houston Texans 23-14 in the Divisional Round, which featured a questionable roughing the passer call on Patrick Mahomes. In the AFC Championship, they fac ed the Buffalo Bills, a team they face (and beat) often in the playoffs. They won a 32-29 nail biter, and are one win away from pulling off the 3peat.
The Eagles came off a season were they started 10-1 and finished 1-6, including a Wild Card loss in Tampa. They acquired running back Saquon Barkley from the Giants, and he had a 2000 yard season. The Eagles finished 14-3, good for second in the NFC. In the Wild Card, they defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-10, in an ugly game. Then Barkley ran all over the LA Rams in a 28-22 snowy victory. Then the Eagles annihilated their hated rival, the Washington Commanders, in the NFC Championship.
This is an incredibly tough game to predict. I could see it going either way, but ultimately, I see the Eagles winning 31-28. I just think that they're hungry and out for revenge. They want it more than the Chiefs do.
