2025 NFC Draft Grades

The 2025 NFL Draft has finished. Here are the draft grades for the NFC. Let's get into it.

Philadelphia Eagles: A

No bias here, the Eagles just had an amazing draft. Jihaad Campbell is an athletic beast, and he and Zack Baun have a chance to be monsterous. Andrew Mukuba is a great replacement for CJ Gardner Johnson. Cameron Williams was not expected to fall to round 6, but he did, and the Eagles took him. Even Kyle McCord could be a decent backup/third stringer.

Dallas Cowboys: B+

Unfortunately, the Cowboys also had a pretty good draft. Tyler Booker was a strange pick, because the Cowboys have defensive holes. But they addressed those holes with their next pick, Donovan Ezeiraku, an edge rusher who was expected to go in the mid-first round. Shavon Revel was expected to go mid-second round and Dallas got him in round 3. Jaydon Blue is a solid running back, but slightly shaky. Overall, not bad.

Washington Commanders: B

The Commanders didn't have many picks, but they made those picks count. Josh Conerly is a great blocker and he only allowed 2 sacks in 2 years. Tre Amos is a solid corner. But what brings this grade down is how few picks the Commanders had.

New York Giants:A-

The Giants had a brilliant draft. They started off by taking Abdul Carter, who is a BEAST. He was one of the best defensive players in the Big Ten. Then they traded up to take quarterback Jaxon Dart, which I found to be strange. I did think they needed a QB, but Dart isn't the choice I would've made. Cam Skattebo is a hell of a running back, and Darius Alexander is a good CB. Overall, the Giants nailed this draft.

Los Angeles Rams: B

The Rams traded their first round pick to the Falcons, so their first pick was in round 2. They took tight end Terrance Ferguson, which is a solid move as Tyler Higbee is entering a contract year. In round 3 they took Josiah Stewart, who is an incredible pass rusher. Overall, the Rams had a solid class.

San Francisco 49ers: D

The 49ers draft started off strong, with Mykel Williams being a solid edge rusher. After that, it just got bad. Alfred Collins is versatile, but is not a good pass rusher. Nick Martin suffered an injury in 2024 that could linger into next year. Jordan James is a solid running back, but overall, just not a great draft for the 49ers.

Seattle Seahawks: A

On the other hand, the Seahawks had a brilliant draft. They started off with Grey Zabel, a solid offensive tackle, which is what Seattle desperately needs. Then they got an absolute STEAL in safety Nick Emmanwori in round 2. They then took quarterback Jalen Milroe, which makes sense because they need a solid backup. Great draft by Seattle.

Arizona Cardinals: A+

The Seahawks had a great draft, but the Cardinals had a better one. They started off by taking Walter Nolen, a monster of a defensive tackle. Then Will Johnson fell right into their laps in round 2. Then they took Jordan Burch, who logged a career-high 10 sacks in 2024. The rest of the draft was the Cardinals adding defensive players. Monti Ossenfort is a great GM, and it showed here.

Detroit Lions: B

Tyliek Williams is a good defensive tackle, and the Lions needed one. He and Aiden Hutchinson should be a fantastic duo. Then Detroit added to their offensive line with Tate Ratledge, who is quite solid. Then they took the 6'4 receiver Isaac TeSlaa. In round 5 they went o-line again with Miles Frazier. Brad Holmes is one of the best GM's in the league, and it showed here.

Green Bay Packers: B

The Packers started off the draft by taking a first-round receiver for the first time in 23 years in Matthew Golden. He is the fastest receiver in the draft. Then they took Anthony Belton, a hell of an offensive lineman. After that, the Packers draft was just ok. But I did like their first two picks, so they get a B.

Chicago Bears: A-

I liked the Bears draft. I like Colston Loveland as a tight end and as a blocker. Luther Burden III is a solid receiver. Shemar Turner is a great defensive tackle. I think the Bears had themselves a nice draft.

Minnesota Vikings: C

This is tough to grade because the Vikings only had 5 picks, and they didn't do much with them. I liked the Donovan Jackson pick. I like Kobe King. But what else is there to say? They didn't have a bad draft, but it's hard to have a great draft with only 5 picks.

Atlanta Falcons: A

The Falcons had a damn good draft. They improved the pass rush in round 1. Jalon Walker is an incredible linebacker, and James Pearce is a great edge. Then they got a steal with Xavier Watts. Great draft by Atlanta.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B

The Bucs' draft got off to a slow start. I like Emeka Egbuka, I just don't think the Bucs should've taken him. The rest of their draft was solid, with the Bucs taking various defensive players. I like that for them.

Carolina Panthers: A

The Panthers had a great draft. I think Tetairoa McMillan is a great receiver, and a hell of a deep threat. Nic Scourton is a great edge. I like Trevor Etienne as a running back. Overall, hell of a draft for Carolina.

New Orleans Saints: C

Finally, the Saints. The Saints had a meh draft. Kelvin Banks is a good o-lineman, but who's he gonna block for? Maybe Tyler Shough, who they drafted in round 2. Overall, just a meh draft from the Saints.

Those are my grades for the draft in the NFC. Shout out to PFF for the source. I'll do the AFC sometime soon. Stay tuned for that.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is in 3 days, so it's time to do a mock draft. I will be doing the entire 1st round of picks. Let's get into it.

1. Tennessee Titans, Cam Ward, QB, Miami

This is the slam-dunk pick that everyone expects. Ward is easily the best player available, and the Titans need a quarterback.

2. Cleveland Browns, Abdul Carter, DE, Penn State

The Browns did resign Myles Garrett, yes, but they need someone alongside him. Carter is the best choice here. He was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the year last year, and he decimated every o-line in the conference.

3. New York Giants, Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

The Heisman winner now goes off the board, and if he does wind up playing both offense and defense, he will play a key role in a weak secondary and a weak receiving core.

4. New England Patriots, Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Patriots have a terrible offensive line, and Campbell can help with that very much. He's probably the best o-lineman in the draft.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars, Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

The Jaguars last year had no interior lines. Graham will help address that.

6. Las Vegas Raiders, Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The Raiders need a running back, and the logical choice is Jeanty. He had 2600 yards and 29 touchdowns last year and was runner-up for the Heisman.

7. New York Jets, Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

The Jets need to protect Justin Fields, and Membou would be the best choice with Will Campbell off the board. I could see the Jets taking Tyler Warren, but they need o-linemen.

8. Carolina Panthers, Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

Jadevon Clowney isn't getting any younger, and the Panthers need a replacement for him. Walker is a great choice to do so.

9. New Orleans Saints, Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

The Saints could use a quarterback, but they could also use Warren, who is the best tight end in the draft. I see them taking Warren in round 1 and a QB later.

10. Chicago Bears, Kelvin Banks, OT, Georgia

The Bears need offensive line help. There's no doubt about that. Maybe Banks is a bit of a reach, but they need him.

11. San Francisco 49ers, Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

The 49ers need a defensive end alongside Nick Bosa, and Williams is the best option for that.

12. Dallas Cowboys, Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Golden is very fast, and Dallas needs a WR2 behind CeeDee Lamb, so they take Golden here.

13. Miami Dolphins, Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Dolphins are looking to get rid of Jalen Ramsey, and so they need a cornerback. Johnson would be the best corner available at this point, so it'd make a ton of sense to take him.

14. Indianapolis Colts, Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

The Colts need a tight end, and Loveland, if he does fall this far, would be the best option. He can catch, block, and do more.

15. Atlanta Falcons, Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The Falcons need help on the D-line. Grant will help with that for sure.

16. Arizona Cardinals, Walter Nolen, DT, Texas A@M

The Cardinals need interior help, and Nolen is too good to pass on here.

17. Cincinnati Bengals, Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

The Bengals need a pass rusher badly. Derrick Harmon has amazing talent, and I don't see Cincy passing on him here.

18. Seattle Seahawks, Tyler Booker, OT, Alabama

The Seahawks need help in the middle of the O-Line, and Booker can play many positions along the O-Line.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Todd Bowles said he wants ballhawks, which makes sense because the Bucs didn't have a ton of interceptions. Emmanwori fits that bill very well.

20. Denver Broncos, Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Broncos haven't had many decent running backs lately, but Hampton could change that.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers, Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A@M

The Steelers need a d-lineman more than a quarterback. Stewart is definitely a good option for them.

22. Los Angeles Chargers, Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

McMillan might be gone before this point, but if he's not, the Chargers should be the ones to take him. Their only standout receiver is Ladd McConkey, and they added Mike Williams, who's 30.

23. Green Bay Packers, Donovan Ezeirukau, DE, Boston College

The Packers are in need of an edge rusher, and Ezeirukau is probably their best bet.

24. Minnesota Vikings, Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State

The Vikings have done work on their offensive line after allowing 9 sacks in the Wild Card round, but they still need a left guard. That's why Zabel would be my choice for them.

25. Houston Texans, Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Simmons would be best for a team who needs offensive line help badly here.

26. Los Angeles Rams, Josh Conerly, OT, Oregon

The Rams need to replace Rob Havenstein at some point, so Conerly is the best choice here. Later on, they'll look for Matthew Stafford's replacement.

27. Baltimore Ravens, Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Starks is a hell of a safety and the Ravens do need secondary help, so it makes sense to take him here.

28. Detroit Lions, James Pearce, DE, Tennesee

The Lions need an edge rusher alongside Aidan Hutchinson, so why not draft Pearce here?

29. Washington Commanders, Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

The Commanders' secondary is mediocre, so Amos is a smart move here.

30. Buffalo Bills, Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

Hairston should fit right into the Bills' secondary, which is quite lackluster.

31. Kansas City Chiefs, Jonah Savaiinea, OT, Arizona

The Chiefs o-line had a terrible showing in Super Bowl 59, so drafting o-line makes the most sense, and Savaiinea is the best one available at this point.

32. Philadelphia Eagles, Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

The Eagles lost a lot of key defensive players in free agency, so Campbell is a smart choice.

Stanley Cup Playoffs predictions

The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs have arrived, and here are my predictions for the entire thing. Let's get into it.

First Round

(M1) Capitals vs (WC2) Canadiens- Capitals win in 4

(M2) Hurricanes vs (M3) Devils- Hurricanes win in 6

The Canadiens are kinda just happy to be here. They haven't had much success in the past, so they have no expectations. Meanwhile the Capitals are Cup contenders. They should win this easily. The Hurricanes have had the Devils' number in the playoffs as of late, and I don't see that changing. They have the all-around better roster.

(A1) Maple Leafs vs (WC1) Senators- Maple Leafs win in 5

(A2) Lightning vs (A3) Panthers- Lightning win in 5

The Battle of Ontario and the Battle of Florida both should be interesting; the Battle of Ontario contains a famous lovable loser and the Battle of Florida features two recent Stanley Cup Champions. The Maple Leafs have their best shot at a Cup in a long time. Meanwhile, the Senators, much like the Canadiens, are playing with house money, and they have no expectations. I see the Lightning dethroning the reigning champs here.

(C1) Jets vs (WC2) Blues- Jets win in 6

(C2) Stars vs (C3) Avalanche- Avalanche win in 5

The Jets have the best record in the NHL and the Blues are red-hot right now. This should be one hell of a series. On the other side, the Stars are ice cold, coming in as losers of 7 straight. The Avalanche are playing decent hockey as of late, and I see them taking this series no problem. The Blues will give the Jets a fight, but I see them falling short.

(P1) Golden Knights vs (WC1) Wild- Golden Knights win in 4

(P2) Kings vs (P3) Oilers- Oilers win in 6

The Golden Knights have had a great year, and the Wild are good, but not great. The Golden Knights should have this series easily. The Oilers are the defending Western Conference champions, and although they dealing with some injuries, they do have Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and that should be enough to knock off the Kings.

Second Round

Capitals vs Hurricanes- Capitals win in 6

Maple Leafs vs Lightning- Lightning win in 7

If it does wind up being Capitals-Hurricanes, that will be a great series, seeing Alex Ovechkin against some incredible talent that the Hurricanes have. Leafs-Lightning will also be a great series, seeing Auston Matthews against Nikita Kucherov. However the Maple Leafs haven't made the conference since 2002, and I don't see that drought breaking. And the Capitals have a more talented roster than the Hurricanes, in my opinion

Golden Knights vs Oilers- Golden Knights win in 6

Jets vs Avalanche- Jets win in 5

A Golden Knights-Oilers series would be incredible to watch. The Golden Knights are loaded, and the Oilers have two of the best players in the league. The Golden Knights take this series, though, due to the talent on that roster. Meanwhile, the Jets have a hell of a team, and I see them taking down the Avalanche.

Conference Finals

Capitals vs Lightning- Lightning win in 6

I just think the Lightning have more talent than the Capitals do. Nikita Kucherov, Brandon Hagel, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Jon Cooper, etc. can beat out Alex Ovechkin, Dylan Strome, Tom Wilson, Charles Lindgren, etc. That's just my opinion though.

Golden Knights vs Jets- Golden Knights win in 7

The Presidents Trophy winner hasn't won a cup in 12 years, and I don't think that's changing. The Golden Knights roster, including William Karlson, Jack Eichel, Tomas Hertl and Mark Stone, is high-powered, and can beat Kyle Connor, Connor Hellebuyck, Mark Scheifele, and more, in my eyes.

Stanley Cup Finals

Lightning vs Golden Knights- Lightning win in 6

Conn Smyth Winner: Nikita Kucherov

The Lightning win the Stanley Cup off the back of Kucherov having a fantastic playoff run. This team is built to make a great run, and I see them bringing another Cup home.

That's my predictions for the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs! I'm excited to see what happens.

Florida Gators win national championship

The Florida Gators have won the NCAA men's basketball championship. They defeated the Houston Cougars 65-63 in the championship game. The Gators were down 42-30 early in the second half, but they rallied to tie the game at 60 with over 3 minutes left. Houston had a 63-62 lead with 90 seconds to go. Will Richard then blocked the Houston 3 which might've been the dagger. The Gators then failed to score, but so did the Coogs. Alijah Martin was then fouled, and made 2 free throws to put the Gators ahead. Richard then stripped the ball from Houston. Denzel Aberdeen was fouled. He made 1 of 2 free throws to put Florida up 2. Houston coach Kelvin Sampson called a timeout. The final play was a disaster for Houston. Milos Uzan attempted to get a clean look for a championship winning 3, but two Gators locked him up. Uzan passed to L.J. Cryer, who passed to Emanuel Sharp. As Sharp attempted the 3, he was met by Walter Clayton Jr. and lost control of the ball, and the ball rolled around on the ground. The Gators picked it up and preserved their first title in 18 years.

This was one of the wildest national championships I've seen in a while. The Gators looked dead early in the second half, and I have no clue how they came back. The last play, as hated as it is, I thought it was wild. I have to give credit to Florida, they played incredible defense on that last possession, and Todd Golden is a hell of a coach for taking a school that had a mediocre basketball team and making them a great basketball team. Congratulations to Florida!

Alexander Ovechkin breaks all-time goals record.

Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals broke the NHL all-time goals record, scoring his 895th goal Sunday against the New York Islanders. Wayne Gretzky, the previous record holder, was at the game and congratulated Ovechkin on breaking his record. Even though Ovechkin scored the Capitals's only goal and they lost 4-1, this day was all about Ovechkin. He broke the record no one thought would ever be broken. "This is something crazy." Ovechkin said during his ceremony. "I'm probably gonna need a few days. Maybe a few weeks to realize what it means to be no.1."

I personally don't like Ovechkin, but I am impressed that he actually broke the record. I knew he'd do it after a while, but this is a record I never thought would be broken. If anyone could do it, I expected Ovechkin or Sidney Crosby to do it. They are two of the best hockey players I have seen in my lifetime.

The Capitals will now focus on winning the Stanley Cup. They are atop the Metropolitan Division by 11 points over the Carolina Hurricanes and 9 points over the Toronto Maple Leafs for the Eastern Conference. We'll see what happens.
