The Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be playing tonight on Monday Night Football. In this article, I'll be breaking down how each team has looked through the first two games, and then give my prediction on who will win.
The Eagles are the reigning NFC champions, and many people think they can go back to the Super Bowl, and maybe even win it. In the first two games this year, they've looked good, but a main concern is their defense. In both games, the Eagles have jumped out to a comfortable lead in the first 3 quarters, and then the defense makes it interesting. Thankfully, they've held on, but the thing is, there might be a time where the defense loses them a game.
The Buccaneers won the NFC South last year despite an 8-9 record, and then Tom Brady retired, meaning Baker Mayfield is now the quarterback. He looked very good in the first two games, leading Tampa to a 2-0 record. The thing is, neither of the teams he beat are very good. They beat the 0-3 Vikings and the 0-3 Bears, which isn't exactly impressive. Mike Evans put up 171 yards and 2 touchdowns last week. Could he do it again?
Now for my predictions. The Eagles have a high flying offense, and a defense that has talent but hasn't shown it yet. They'll probably impress, but the defense could make it interesting, especially with Mike Evans. That being said,
Prediction: Eagles win 30-23
