Super Bowl LVIII predictions

Super Bowl 58 is here, finally. We all know the Chiefs and the 49ers will be in the game, and all the storylines surrounding Taylor Swift, Patrick Mahomes and more. But let's see my predictions.

The Chiefs, the reigning champions who struggled a bit for their standards, are here for plenty of reasons. Andy Reid, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid, their defense, I could go on and on. They've attracted a new group of fans because of Taylor Swift (Travis Kelce's boyfriend). And their reign is far from over, even when we all thought they were done in late November-December. They held the high flying Dolphins to 7 points in the Wild Card round, then edged out the Bills in the Divisional, and then held Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in check in the AFC Championship. As damn good as they are, their receiver room is questionable.

The 49ers were hungry to get back to the Super Bowl after their heartbreaking NFC Championship loss last year, and they took the top seed in the NFC. After surviving a scare against the Packers in the Divisional, it looked like it was all over at halftime of the NFC Championship. But then they benefited off of poor coaching by the Lions, an insane catch by Brandon Aiyuk, and two touchdowns by Christian McCaffrey to advance to their first Super Bowl in 4 years. They have an astounding offense, and a very talented defensive line.

Now for my game prediction. This should be an awesome game, even if you don't like either team (like me).
But here's what I think.....

Prediction: Chiefs win 34-31
Super Bowl MVP: Patrick Mahomes

The Chiefs win it all once again. It could go either way, but I'm taking the Chiefs for one reason: Patrick Mahomes. He'll be dicing the 49ers mediocre secondary up.

2024 NFL Playoff predictions

The 2024 NFL Playoffs are here, and it's time to do predictions for each game. I'll be explaining my picks as well.

NFC Wild Card

(5) Eagles at (4) Buccaneers- Buccaneers win 28-15

(6) Rams at (3) Lions- Lions win 28-21

(7) Packers at (2) Cowboys- Cowboys win 30-14

I may be an Eagles fan, but they've been playing horribly over the last month, and I definitely don't think they'll get it together anytime soon. The other two games follow a similar pattern: revenge. Jared Goff and Matt Stafford, who were traded for each other in 2021, will be playing their former teams in Detroit in the first playoff game in Ford Field history, and current Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy faces his former team in the Packers.

AFC Wild Card

(5) Browns at (4) Texans- Browns win 28-24

(6) Dolphins at (3) Chiefs- Dolphins win 33-30

(7) Steelers at (2) Bills- Bills win 27-13

In another revenge story, former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill will make his return to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the reigning champions and although many people don't see Miami winning, I feel like they're more consistent than the Chiefs. The Browns-Texans game should be intriguing as well as two surprise AFC teams duel, and the Steelers-Bills game is expected to be a cold one, which may mean we're getting snow in Buffalo.

NFC Divisional

Buccaneers at (1) 49ers- 49ers win 31-14

Lions at Cowboys- Lions win 31-28

The 49ers are the NFC's favorite, and it makes sense. They've been the conference's most dominant team. The Cowboys haven't made an NFC Championship Game since 1996, and I don't see that happening this year.

AFC Divisional

Dolphins at (1) Ravens- Ravens win 34-30

Browns at Bills- Bills win 26-23

If it's a Dolphins-Ravens divisional, the Dolphins will be hungry for revenge. The last time these two met, the Ravens smothered the Dolphins 56-19, and don't expect that to happen again. The Browns-Bills game should be solid as well, as both teams have respected offenses.

NFC Championship

Lions at 49ers- 49ers win 30-27

This would be a very interesting game. The Lions have offensive and defensive stars, as do the Niners. But in the end, San Francisco takes it.

Bills at Ravens- Bills win 34-31

This should be an outstanding game, with two incredible quarterbacks doing battle. And these teams fight each other to the end each time they meet. Many people wouldn't expect this, but I see the Bills winning this game and finally heading to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVIII

Bills at 49ers- 49ers win 35-31

Super Bowl MVP: Christian McCaffrey

This would be a great Super Bowl match-up, but ultimately, I see San Fran showing a bit more than Buffalo and Christian McCaffrey running all over the Bills.
