Jonathan Gannon, Shane Steichen become NFL head coaches

 

The Philadelphia Eagles lost both of their coordinators less than two days after losing Super Bowl LVII. Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon was hired by the Arizona Cardinals to be their head coach, then offensive coordinator Shane Steichen was hired by the Indianapolis Colts to be their coach. Both the Cardinals and Colts had disappointing seasons, to say the least. They both finished with 4 wins, and the Colts infamously had the biggest collapse in league history. 

As an Eagles fan, I am glad Gannon is gone, as I thought he was terrible. Although the defense was great, his play calling wasn't. But I thought Steichen was great, and I am very confused as to why they didn't try to keep him. But in the meantime I think that there are great offensive and defensive coordinators out there that the Eagles can go after, such as Mike Zimmer or Eric Bieniemy.

But as always, we'll see.

Super Bowl LVII predictions

 Super Bowl LVII is finally here. It's time to predict the game, and explain why I think said team will win. 

The Chiefs were the top team in the AFC at 14-3, and won in the divisional round over the Jaguars, 27-17. In the AFC Championship game, they won 23-20 in a controversial game against the Bengals. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is in the MVP conversation, as usual, and the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl conversation, as usual. How will they fare against the mighty pass rush of the Eagles? We will see.

The Eagles were the top team in the NFC at 14-3, and won in the divisional round against the Giants, 38-7, and then beat the 49ers, 31-7. Jalen Hurts has been an outstanding quarterback, and has proven all of his doubters wrong. 

Here is my prediction. I think this will be a tight game, and not as high-scoring, but in the end....

Prediction: Eagles win 27-24

I think the Eagles' secondary is going to be too much for the Chiefs, and if Patrick Mahomes isn't 100% good to go, it may be all Eagles.
