Today I'm gonna write a different article. I went to a PBA Tour event on Friday, June 6 and I wanted to share what it was like.
The event was in Bethlehem, PA, at an alley called Steel City Bowl. All the bowlers who were competing in the PBA Tour were there (Andrew Anderson, Jason Belmonte, EJ Tackett, Kyle Troup, Anthony Simonsen, Bill O'Neill, Marshall Kent and Graham Fach) and I got my picture taken with each of them. I've been watching these guys my whole life, so it was so cool. Seeing Belmonte was the greatest of all, as he sent me a video for my birthday. It was amazing finally seeing him in person. It was cool seeing them all in person, but especially Belmo.
Then I watched them practice. It was awesome watching the guys I have been watching forever bowl live and in person. I had a lot of fun watching them. The first group of bowlers I saw were Kyle Troup, EJ Tackett, Bill O'Neill and Graham Fach. My only issue was the seats. They were uncomfortable and my view wasn't great. I had to stand up for a better view. But I had fun. When Kyle Troup would get a strike, they'd yell "Fruit Salad!" I liked that. Then, Anthony Simonsen, Jason Belmonte, Marshall Kent and Andrew Anderson were up. I was so excited to watch Belmonte bowl. He is my idol and the reason why I bowl. I loved it. After a while, we left after a fun (and busy) night!
Overall I had a lot of fun at the PBA Tour. I would recommend if it's near you, go check it out!
NOTE: The actual PBA Tour happened on Sunday, June 8 and was won by Andrew Anderson.
We really had a fun time!
