76ers win Game 5 in Boston to take series lead

The Philadelphia 76ers won a huge game on Tuesday, May 9. They won the fifth game of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the Boston Celtics, 115-103. And they are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2001. Joel Embiid dropped 33 points, and Tyrese Maxey scored 30 of his own. James Harden scored 17 and 10 assists. Meanwhile for Boston, Jayson Tatum scored 36. The 76ers haven't won a series over the Celtics since the 1983 Eastern Conference Finals.

This is a tremendous win for the Sixers. The Celtics have been their kryptonite for years, and now they're one win away from FINALLY eliminating them and heading to the Eastern Conference Finals. Now, I'm still very nervous, as the 76ers have had huge problems closing out 2nd-round series in the past. But I am excited for Game 6 for once.

Game 6 is on Thursday. Will the Sixers close it out? We'll see.
