NFL Week 13 predictions

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! To celebrate, we've got a full slate of games this week. Of course, we've got 3 games on Thanksgiving, as always. Then, we've got a Black Friday game, featuring the Bears and Eagles. Then, a big slate on Sunday, concluding with Sunday Night Football in the nation's capital. Then, the Giants and Patriots cap off this week on Monday Night Football. Last week wasn't my best. I went 9-5, bringing my record to 120-61-1.

Packers vs Lions (Thanksgiving 1pm) Lions win 31-27

The Packers had a solid win over the Vikings. Jordan Love didn't play his best, but he didn't need to. The defense was fantastic (or maybe JJ McCarthy just sucks) and Emanuel Wilson had a fantastic game, with over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Lions had a close win over the Giants in overtime. Jared Goff was good, but the story of the game was Jahmyr Gibbs, who had 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense wasn't good, but luckily the Giants' was worse. I am taking the Lions here because I have more faith in them at the moment.

Chiefs vs Cowboys (Thanksgiving 4:30pm) Chiefs win 29-28

The Chiefs had a wild overtime win over the Colts. They looked dead in the first half, but came back to force overtime, and win it there. Patrick Mahomes looked shaky, and Kareem Hunt helped him out, as well as the defense. They contained Jonathan Taylor and Daniel Jones, who have been red hot all year. That was the key to them getting a win. The Cowboys had a crazy come-from-behind win over the Eagles that you can learn more about by checking my article on the game out. I am going to give a slight edge to the Chiefs only because their defense looks better.

Bengals vs Ravens (Thanksgiving 8:20pm) Ravens win 27-20

The Bengals were competitive with the Patriots, and surprisingly, it's not the defense's fault they lost. Joe Flacco wasn't good, and it cost them. But Joe Burrow is coming back, so maybe he can give them a spark. The Ravens beat the Jets, but Lamar Jackson didn't look great, which is concerning. Derrick Henry led the way with 2 touchdowns. They're still on a tear, and I expect them to win this game.

Bears vs Eagles (Black Friday) Eagles win 27-24

The Bears got the win over the Steelers and are now 8-3. Caleb Williams had a 3-touchdown game, 2 of those to DJ Moore. Things are promising in Chicago. The Eagles...well, again, you can check out my article. I do hope the Eagles come out swinging in this game. I think they will.

Saints vs Dolphins- Dolphins win 23-20

The Saints had an ugly home loss to Atlanta. Tyler Shough didn't play well, with 243 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. The defense was alright, but nothing spectacular. The Dolphins were on a bye. I think the Dolphins win because they're at home.

Texans vs Colts- Colts win 31-28

The Texans won on Thursday Night Football over the Bills 23-19, in a game where they sacked Josh Allen 8 times. Davis Mills was alright, but he could've done better. He only completed 16 of his 30 passes for 153 yards and 2 scores. The Colts lost a tough one in Kansas City, and Jonathan Taylor and Daniel Jones looked mediocre. The defense was good in the first 3 quarters and not great in the 4th quarter and overtime. I do think they'll rebound and get the victory.

Falcons vs Jets- Falcons win 26-14

The Falcons got a win over the Saints. Kirk Cousins was good, but not great. The defense was the story of the game here, sacking Tyler Shough 5 times. The Jets lost to the Ravens, but it was more competitive than most people thought it would be. Tyrod Taylor wasn't bad, but the rest of the offense was not good. I am taking the Falcons, because they're more competent than the Jets are.

49ers vs Browns- 49ers win 34-14

This could get ugly. The 49ers had an ugly win on Monday Night Football against the Panthers in a game where Brock Purdy threw 3 interceptions. Christian McCaffrey had a solid game against his old team, with 89 yards and a touchdown. The defense was damn good, holding Rico Dowdle in check. The Browns had a dominating performance in Vegas, sacking Geno Smith 10 times. Myles Garrett dropped him 3 times. Shedeur Sanders made his debut, and to be honest, it wasn't good. It really wasn't. And going up against a defense like San Francisco's, I don't think it'll go over well.

Rams vs Panthers- Rams win 30-9

The Rams had a dominating performance against the Buccaneers on primetime. Matthew Stafford might be an MVP candidate right now. He's having a fantastic season. The defense is playing good, everything is clicking in LA. The Panthers had a tough loss in San Francisco, which we just talked about. Bryce Young looked horrible, and Rico Dowdle was meh. The defense was fine, I'm not gonna say anything bad about them. But if the Panthers team that showed up in San Francisco shows up on Sunday, they're gonna get killed.

Jaguars vs Titans- Jaguars win 28-14

The Jaguars won in overtime over the Cardinals in Arizona. Trevor Lawrence was aggrevatingly mediocre, with 3 touchdowns, 3 interceptions and a 60% completion percentage. The defense wasn't great, but it did what it needed to do. The Titans were finally competitive, losing by only 6 points. Cam Ward wasn't terrible, which is a good sign. The defense is still terrible, though. I can't see them winning this one.

Cardinals vs Buccaneers- Buccaneers win 20-14

The Cardinals, as we just mentioned, lost an overtime game to the Jaguars. Jacoby Brissett had a nice game, with 317 yards and a touchdown. The defense was the issue, as they couldn't seem to slow the Jags offense down. The Buccaneers got blown out against the Rams on Sunday Night Football, and may have lost Baker Mayfield for a few games to a shoulder injury. If he can't play, then Teddy Bridgewater will get the nod for this game here. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals won. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised even if Mayfield plays, but I just don't think they're going to.

Vikings vs Seahawks- Seahawks win 28-7

The Vikings were beaten by the Packers in a terrible game. JJ McCarthy was garbage, and now he's in concussion protocol, meaning Max Brosmer is likely to get the start this week. Justin Jefferson's being used less and less, and that's not great. The Seahawks got a close win over the Titans. Jaxon Smith-Njigba had an incredible game, with 167 yards and 2 scores. Sam Darnold had a great game also, with 244 yards and 2 scores. I'm taking the Seahawks here because, simply put, they're the better team.

Bills vs Steelers- Bills win 31-28

The Bills had a tough loss against the Texans. Josh Allen was sacked 8 times and had a tough game. James Cook had a great game, though, with 116 yards and a score. The defense was okay, but nothing special. The Steelers lost to the Bears in Chicago. Mason Rudolph was alright, but the defense wasn't. Caleb Williams couldn't be stopped. If they play like this against the Bills, I don't think they'll win.

Raiders vs Chargers- Chargers win 31-17

The Raiders lost to the Browns and got sacked 10 times. Geno Smith was....ehhh. It wasn't his worst game, by far. But it certainly wasn't his best. Ashton Jeanty was mediocre. The Chargers were on a bye. I have them blowing the Raiders out of the water.

Broncos vs Commanders (Sunday night) Broncos win 35-10

These two teams were on a bye. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, the Broncos are going to kill the Commanders.

Giants vs Patriots (Monday night) Patriots win 31-14

The Giants lost to the Lions in overtime, and are the first team eliminated from the playoffs. But they fired Shane Bowen, so not all is bad. Jameis Winston had a fantastic game, throwing for 366 yards and 2 touchdowns, and even catching one. Hopefully, he stays the starter the rest of the way. The Patriots got a close win over the Bengals, with Drake Maye having a hell of a game. He had 294 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hunter Henry had a good game, with 115 yards and a score. The defense was pretty damn solid. I am gonna take them to get the win here.

What a week we have in store! 4 games on Thanksgiving, 1 on Black Friday, 11 on Sunday and 1 on Monday. No team has a bye. This should be fun. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
