Dodgers win 2025 World Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2025 World Series, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 4 games to 3.They won their second straight title, becoming the first team to win consecutive titles since the New York Yankees from 1998-2000. The series was filled with great moments, like Addison Barger's grand slam in game 1, Yoshinobu Yamamoto's complete game in game 2, the 18-inning long game 3, the incredible game 6 double play to end it, and then the deciding game 7 was full of incredible moments. The Blue Jays were 2 outs away from winning it all in game 7. Miguel Rojas, who got his first hit all series earlier, was up. He hit a home run to left field to tie it up, and saved the game again later that inning by throwing out a man at home. Will Smith hit the game winning home run in the 11th, but the Blue Jays had runners on the corners in the bottom half of the inning. Alejandro Kirk hit a ground ball to second for a double play to end the series. Yamamoto, who got the save, was named MVP.

This was an incredibly fun series to watch as an outside observer. I was rooting for the Dodgers because I was told at a young age not to like the Blue Jays because of Joe Carter's walk off. I was happy the Dodgers won, but I felt a little bad for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. I really like watching him play. If the Jays ever won one, he'd be one of the few people I'd be happy for. I was happy for Shohei Ohtani. I think he's a fantastic player. Here's to next season!
