The Philadelphia 76ers have traded 10-time All-Star James Harden, P.J. Tucker, and Filip Pestrusev to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Nic Batum, Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, and K.J. Martin. Harden requested a trade in June after opting in to his $35.6 million player option for that season. During a promotional trip to China, he said 76ers president Daryl Morey was "a liar" and that he "would never be a part of an organization that he's a part of."
This is a HUGE trade for Philadelphia. Not only did they end their summer-long nightmare, but they absolutely FLEECED the Clippers. They brought back Robert Covington, who was a Sixer from 2014-2018, got two veteran 3-point shooters in Batum and Morris, and a young talented player in Martin. Could they help the Sixers end their second-round curse and get to the conference finals for the first time in 23 years? We'll see?
I'm curious to see if they package the picks
